Make Art Branding
Production Schedule

Directed the operation of the event. Created production schedules for all of the team leads of the activation areas.

Watch the recap video of the event, coordinated by Noah and created by Triton Television at UC San Diego.

Fluffy Mascot

Art directed and project managed getting the character artwork of Fluffy fabricated into a mascot for the event. Fluffy original artwork by Jordan, updated by Joshric, and created into a mascot by Promo Bears.

Event Booths

Over fifteen booths run by student, staff, and community creatives. Each booth featured hands on art experiences and take home items. In addition, there were a couple of sponsor booths offering free food and flowers.

Poster Room

The “Dreaming of ten years of poster-bilities” room is a curation of ten years of AS Graphic Studio artists’ posters broken into grids up by year, creating a visual timeline of the AS Graphic Studio impact on campus.

Bear Room

Curated ten years of illustrated bears from Bear Garden carnival events in the “Completely unbearable” room. Room design led by Angela, Leo, Katy, and supported by me. Lighting and sound production provided by Brook and the University Centers Tech team.

Button Room

The studio was partially founded on the idea of making buttons for students. It was most fitting to create the “All buttoned up” room, where guests could take a button and leave a button. Fabrication of button walls and sewing by me with production guidance from Nelson. Button exhibit curation and design by Emily, and over 3,500 buttons made by everyone at AS Graphic Studio and volunteers.

Candy Room

AS Graphic Studio is known as the candy shop, giving out free candy to customers or passers-by. Amy led the design and production of the “Welcome to the sweet suite” room. Production and lighting assistance from Nelson at University Events.

Escape Room

To showcase the Sun God Festival artwork over the years, the “Save the babies” escape room was created. Detectives have five minutes to solve the clues with their team. If you beat the clock, detectives receive a special edition Sun God Baby. Room designed and operated by Alfredo.

Entertainment

Christian produced a lineup of poets, artists, and deejays to perform on the Make Art stage. Eunsoo supported with stage design, coordination, and setup. Shneaky emceed and closed out the evening with a DJ set. Attendees could watch in front of the stage or relax on the lawn on a branded mat, that was also a free giveaway.

Make Art Website Theatre Entrance Triton Outfitters Booth

Everything was a great team effort from web design and development from Emily N., PR from Noah, Amy, and Julia. Middle picture: Entrance to the screening of “Kusama: Infinity” designed by Noah. Screening and conversation coordinated by me, and operated by Heather. Triton Outfitters, the student-run store that the AS Graphic Studio designs for, had one of the most popular booths with a grocery storefront theme. Students could choose a design and have it heat pressed onto a shirt or tote while they wait. In addition, there was a photo booth and giveaways. Designed by Noah and operated by Melea and the whole Triton Outfitters team.
